HEALTH RECORDS

Your medical records are confidential documents. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times.

FEE STRUCTURE

This practice offers bulk-billing appointments to all patients with a valid Medicare Card. Workcover claims will be submitted to and reimbursed by Workcover QLD.

Other visits will attract a fee e.g. Non-Medicare card holders, Workcover and Pre-Employment or Commercial Drivers Licence Medicals and Cosmetic procedures. Some larger skin procedures may attract an out of pocket fee. Your doctor will inform you about the possible cost of procedure at the prior appointment. You might be entitled to get full/partial  reimbursement from your employer/ensurer. Please check with them before you see your doctor.

APPOINTMENTS & WAITING TIMES

During surgery hours, appointments are available by calling (07) 3121 2166.
This ensures waiting times are kept to a minimum. All patients are provided with a standard appointment (15min), longer appointments are available dependant on your circumstances and our availability.

TRIAGE

On arrival please notify the reception staff immediately if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Chest Pain
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Bleeding
  • Rash
  • Vomiting/Fever

ON-SITE PATHOLOGY

MedLab Pathology works out of our Practice. Their staff are committed in providing comprehensive pathology services to the medical profession. MedLab Pathology is on-site:
Monday – Friday: 8am – 12pm

RECALL, RESULTS & REMINDER SYSTEM

You may be issued with a recall or reminder notice offering preventative health services appropriate to your care.

To obtain your results we will require you to make a follow-up appointment.

How long will my blood tests/pathology results take to come back?

Around 1-2 business days unless specified otherwise.

How do I know when my blood tests/pathology tests are back?

Normally, it will take around 1-2 business days to get your results, unless specified otherwise. You can contact us to see if your results are ready, and if you want, you can make an appointment to discuss with doctor about your results.

HOME VISITS

It is at your doctor’s discretion to provide a home visit. Initial consultation is required at our medical centre prior to this request.

TELEPHONE CALL FOR DOCTORS

To minimise interruptions with the doctors, all phone calls will be handled based on our policy, and if relevant, will be returned by the treating nurse in a timely manner.
